Tour ta Malta - Preview

So day one of riding and a wet and windy start, I mean VERY windy!  After deciding to wait until the afternoon for the rain to clear.  We set out to reccie the courses.  The TT course is on St Paul's by-pass this year, a lovely smooth dual carriageway with a hill in the middle which might be around 15 miles.
Then onto the most interesting course of the whole race, San Martins. Basically a triangle shaped course with big climb and long decent and a fast, usually tail wind section in middle, although today was complete reverse of this.
Saturdays race will be on Gozo - a really early start to go across by ferry. The course is like a long crit circuit with a massive hill in it!
The final stage is a road race this year - 33k Ta' Pinellu.
Having managed to dodge rain it was back to sort TT bars for  bike and adjust the bike position, not being entirely happy yet with saddle and cleat position.
Tomorrow looks to be much warmer and sunny, so last chance to head for a café and find ice cream before race starts on Thursday!
